What this policy covers
This policy explains what is stored in your browser when you visit the Loena Luxury Suites website, and why. The site is operated by Christos Athan. Petkakis & Co E.E. (ΧΡΗΣΤΟΣ ΑΘΑΝ. ΠΕΤΚΑΚΗΣ ΚΑΙ ΣΙΑ Ε.Ε.), the company behind the five suites at 13 Ernestou Emprar, Ladadika, Thessaloniki (AMA registry 00002825758). Cookies here do one job, which is measuring traffic. No advertising trackers and no social-media pixels. Three third parties do load inside our pages, and they are not all gated the same way. Google Analytics and Tag Manager load with the page and write nothing until you accept. The Trustindex review widget waits for your answer. The OpenFreeMap tiles behind our location map do not wait for it.
Your consent choice
On your first visit, a banner asks whether you accept analytics. Your answer is saved in your browser's localStorage, not in a cookie, so the banner does not reappear on every page. This stored choice is strictly necessary: without it, the site cannot remember what you decided. It contains no personal information, only the preference itself, and it stays on your device until you clear the site's data in your browser.
Analytics: Google Analytics 4 and Tag Manager
Measurement on this site is limited to one setup, loaded through Google Tag Manager and governed by Google Consent Mode v2. The scripts themselves are fetched as the page loads, before the banner is answered, which means Google sees your IP address, your browser and the page address on every visit whatever you later choose. Analytics storage stays denied until you accept, so no analytics cookie is set before that point. If you accept, Google Analytics 4 measures visits in aggregate, which pages are read and roughly where visitors arrive from, and it also records clicks on our phone, WhatsApp and booking links. The click through to reserve-online.net carries the Google Analytics identifier with it, so the visit and the reservation are counted once rather than twice. None of this is used for advertising.

Booking and external services
Rates, availability, and rate-specific cancellation terms live on our booking engine at reserve-online.net (WebHotelier). When you start a booking, you leave this website, and the engine's own cookie and privacy practices apply. Its reservation and payment forms necessarily use their own technical cookies. The same applies when you open WhatsApp to message us: the conversation happens inside WhatsApp, under its terms. This page covers only what happens on our own site; we recommend reviewing those services' policies separately.
The guest-review wall
The reviews page shows a wall of guest reviews collected by Trustindex, a third-party service. Its script loads from cdn.trustindex.io only after you accept the banner, so nothing reaches Trustindex from a visitor who declines or has not answered. If you accept, Trustindex receives the request that loads the widget and may store its own data in your browser under its own policy. If you decline, the wall does not appear at all.
The location map
The home page, the suite page and the contact page each show a map of where we are. Its tiles come from tiles.openfreemap.org, a free community map service. The map sets no cookies. It loads the moment you scroll it into view and does not wait for your answer to the banner, so OpenFreeMap receives your IP address, your browser and the fact that tiles around this part of the city were requested. If you never scroll that far, no request is made.
Changing your mind
You can withdraw or change your consent at any time using the Cookie choices link in the footer of every page, which brings the banner back so you can answer again. Clearing this site's data in your browser settings has the same effect, and you can block cookies for this site entirely. Every page keeps working without analytics.
