What is TIF and when does it take place

The Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF, known locally as ΔΕΘ — Διεθνής Έκθεση Θεσσαλονίκης) is Greece's largest trade and economic event: every September it brings together business delegations, parallel specialist exhibitions, and the Prime Minister's keynote policy address. For the duration, the city runs at full capacity — restaurants, conference halls, and hotels fill up fast. If you are visiting for business or want to experience the atmosphere, book your stay early.

What to see and where to eat during TIF

Beyond the Vellidio fairgrounds themselves, September is when Thessaloniki is at its best. The OTE Tower (Skyline) — on Angelaki Street, minutes from the venue — opens to visitors with a panoramic view of the Thermaic Gulf and Mount Olympus. Your base — walking distance from the fair
